What the heck is an EA??
An Enrolled Agent, or EA, is an individual professional who specializes in taxation and is licensed by the US Treasury Department to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. The only professionals so authorized are Enrolled Agents, Certified Public Accountants, Enrolled Actuaries, and attorneys. The EA designation is conferred after an examination consisting of tax law and procedures, a rigorous background check, and examination of his/her professional experience. In addition, EAs are required to maintain continuing education each year and must qualify for re-licensing every three years. Basically, Enrolled Agents are Federal tax specialists.

OK, so who are you??
I'm Dennis Metz, the owner of this practice. You'll be dealing with me, personally, not a contractor or a staff member. I specialize in complex tax returns and issues, including IRS representation and problem resolution. That said, i also offer personalized service on all types of tax returns, not just the 'tough ones'.
Where are we located? My office is near Capitan, New Mexico, at 138 Indian Divide Road, with a gorgeous view of Sierra Blanca and the other mountains. In addition, I am happy to travel to your home or office in the Lincoln County area; whatever is more convenient to you. All meetings and services are done by appointment at your convenience. While we don't take 'walk-ins', you'll find a quick phone call is all it takes to arrange an appointment, usually quite quickly.
Our accounting practice was established in 1986 in Dallas, Texas, to
provide efficient, expert solutions to businesses and
individuals. Our primary services include accounting,
taxation, QuickBooks ProAdvisor services, and business
consulting. We also offer a host of specialty services to
cater to the unique needs of our clients. We serve a
wide range of individuals, corporations, partnerships, and
non-profit organizations and are experts in the accounting
issues and tax laws that impact our clients. We offer the
benefits of years of experience gained from previous
positions. We are an equal opportunity employer and are

organizations. In the fall of 2014, I moved my Dallas practice to the Sacramento Mountains of southern New Mexico, near Ruidoso. In addition, i am accepting a few select new clients in the areas of tax and accounting...you could be one of them!
